Placing your first bid is very exciting. Bidding is fun, allowing you to set your own price and enjoy the thrill of outbidding your opponents!

But be aware: every online bid you place is also legally binding and cannot be canceled.

• Follow your favorite lot
  We'll send you an email as soon as the auction starts, and you'll also receive a reminder before it closes. This way, you won't forget to place a bid on time.
• Place an auto-bid
  Don't feel like bidding manually every time? Place an auto-bid and let our system know how much you are willing to pay for the lot. We will automatically increase your bid each time you are outbid until you have the highest bid or we reach your limit. When setting an auto-bid, you can set a maximum amount, giving you control over how much you are willing to pay for the lot.
  
  If you reach your limit and someone else has just placed a higher bid, we'll notify you so you can still continue bidding.

What is the difference between "final allocation" and "sale with a minimum price"?
A lot can be sold in two different ways: with a final allocation or with a minimum price. You can check the type of sale on the lot page:

Lots sold with a final allocation
This is straightforward! The highest bidder at the end of the auction wins the lot at that price. Fun guaranteed!

Lots sold with a minimum price
For some more expensive items, the seller decides to set a minimum price for the item. If this minimum price is reached at the end of the auction, the deal is closed. If not, one of our Vavato colleagues will contact the highest bidder and the seller to start negotiations. Then, it's fingers crossed that they can meet in the middle! In the worst case, the sale of the item is canceled, and the highest bidder can try their luck in another auction.

How can I pay?
When you place a bid, you don't have to pay anything yet. If you win the lot, we will send you the payment invitation by email with all the necessary information. You can then proceed with an online payment. Through our payment platform, you can choose to pay via Bancontact or iDEAL.

Another payment option is through a bank transfer. Once we receive your payment, you will receive a confirmation email and the official invoice.

Afterwards, you can pick up your goods at the agreed time and location, and the invoice serves as proof of payment.
